Week #5 My (a)symmetrical world

Is the world symmetrical?

I am going to say yes and no. In a physical way, it seems obvious that things do not often appear symmetrical. You can look on a hill, one side can be a shaded woodland, and one side could be a sunny grassland. Even the hill itself will most likely not be symmetrical in its form. The deeper energy within each part of the hillsides could have more symmetry to it. The idea of yin/yang, where everything is in opposition and interdependent can show that most energy can be viewed with symmetry. The relastionship between a redwood tree and the eath that it grows from can hold symmetrical energy even though they are not physically symmetrical. They turn back and forth into each other for eternity. I imagine if you graph out that pattern, it would be a very symmetrical picture.

In my life, I often say I strive for balance, which is an energetic form of symmetry. The physical things that appear on each side of the "scale" may appear different, but the energy and the "weight" of the things, if balance is obtained, should be in symmetry.
